Tonle San kayaking tour one day.

You might feel very excited once you've passed the last meander of the small river that gives you the opportunity to get used to the kayak. These San appears wider than you might have expected. The strength of the current can be seen from a distance, but when you are caught by the river there is only one thing to do: Paddle ! The kayak glides through the water. You feel safe wearing your life vest while sitting in a professional expedition kayak. The effort will pay off after visiting the Tampoun cemetery at Kachon village. Downstream the current gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the wonderful nature on the banks of the Tonle San. No loud noises of engines. The only sound you'll probably hear is that of your paddle dipping into the water and the sounds of nature.
Halfway we arrive at a small sandy island. There we have lunch and relax. Some of you may want to swim while others are more interested in watching the birds which are numerous on the island. A tarp provides the necessary shade to relax.

Tonle San two day one night kayaking tour.

Water, Earth, Air and Fire. All four elements are combined in this tour. The water will be your path for the next 50 km and give the surroundings an extra dimension. Earth is represented by several sandy beaches and islands along the way. Air will carry the birds, butterflies and clouds. Fire will burn the wood which provides you with warmth during chilly nights.
The current and water level are the dynamic factors of this tour. Some beaches may be gone. On other occasions new beaches will have emerged. Scattered villages rarely seen by tourists are interesting places to visit. Most of these villages are only accessible by the Se San. Kayaks therefore are a sublime way of transportation.
The Tonle Se San enters Cambodia from Vietnam. The river meanders through Ratanakiri and Stung Treng provinces. More than 200 km west, the Se San joins the mighty Mekong. This tour reveals Cambodia from a different point of view, a view from water and life on its banks.
